--- name: teamwright-documents description: Create Teamwright DOCX using a Word reference and generate PDF directly from Markdown with Pandoc and XeLaTeX. --- # Teamwright documents Use this skill independently. No toolkit ZIP, repository layout, defaults file, or downloaded script is required. Pandoc 3.x generates DOCX; PDF also needs a PDF engine, documented below. Install Inter, Fraunces 72pt, and JetBrains Mono desktop fonts before rendering or opening editable files. Individual TTFs/licenses: https://brand.teamwright.io/assets.html. Google Fonts CSS cannot supply Office fonts. ## Write the document Teamwright is an AI workforce platform where people, AI agents, and connected tools work together to turn requests into usable results. Introduce Teamwright before TWR. Use clear factual language: name actors, describe the work, state the next step. Review requirements depend on the workflow. Invent no product capabilities, sources, customer evidence, or outcomes. Label fictional examples and missing information. The public reference uses A4, 1-inch margins, Inter 11pt body, Fraunces titles, Spruce #1F5B4D headings, Paper/Ink tones, and a page-number footer. It does not add Confidential. For Letter or another variant, edit the reference in Word/Writer without assuming the changes also style PDF. ```markdown --- title: Project brief subtitle: Scope and next decisions author: Teamwright date: 9 October 2026 abstract: A brief description of the document's purpose. --- # Purpose Describe the requested outcome and its source material. ## Responsibilities | Step | Owner | Result | |:---|:---|:---| | Prepare | Research agent | Draft | | Review | Morgan | Feedback | : Illustrative responsibilities ::: {custom-style="Callout"} **Decision needed.** State the decision and relevant context. ::: ``` Use `#`, `##`, and `###` for headings. Keep tables narrow, caption figures, and use source-relative image paths. `Callout` is a supplied paragraph style; `Label` is a compact character style. Use footnotes for supporting detail. Left-align long text; use sentence case. ## Generate DOCX Run in the working folder containing `brief.md`. Download only the reference, or reuse a local copy: ```sh curl --fail --location --output teamwright-reference.docx \ https://brand.teamwright.io/downloads/templates/documents/reference.docx pandoc "brief.md" --from=markdown --standalone \ --reference-doc="teamwright-reference.docx" --resource-path=. \ --output="brief.docx" ``` Substitute input/output names and resource directories; quote paths with spaces. This produces editable content. Do not apply the Word reference directly to another PDF engine. ## Generate PDF directly from Markdown Install XeLaTeX through MiKTeX (Windows), MacTeX (macOS), or TeX Live (Linux). Minimal installations may need Pandoc's LaTeX packages. Debian/Ubuntu packages: `texlive-xetex`, `texlive-latex-extra`, `texlive-pictures`, and `texlive-fonts-recommended`. Check `pandoc --version` and `xelatex --version`. ```sh pandoc "brief.md" --standalone --pdf-engine=xelatex \ -V mainfont="Inter" -V monofont="JetBrains Mono" \ -V fontsize=11pt -V papersize=a4 -V geometry:margin=1in \ --resource-path=. -o "brief.pdf" ``` This generates PDF directly from Markdown, without DOCX conversion. It uses Pandoc's default LaTeX layout with the specified fonts/page settings. The Word reference does not style PDF; its logo, heading treatment, custom styles, and footer are not reproduced by this command. A matching PDF design needs a separate LaTeX template. Do not claim that a default PDF uses the complete Office design. No LibreOffice, Python, Node.js, or helper script is needed. Local tools and installed desktop fonts are prerequisites. If missing, deliver Markdown and state what is needed rather than claiming rendering succeeded. ## Inspect and deliver Read the PDF: verify title, fonts, pagination, headings, tables, figures, footnotes, and footer. Check reading order when accessibility matters. Deliver Markdown, DOCX, and PDF as requested. Report unavailable rendering or Microsoft Word checks; PDF and Word use separate layouts and must be inspected independently. Use `teamwright-brand` for broader brand decisions if available.
