--- name: teamwright-presentations description: Create Teamwright PPTX using a PowerPoint reference and generate PDF slides from Markdown with Pandoc, XeLaTeX, and Beamer. --- # Teamwright presentations Use this skill independently. No toolkit ZIP, repository layout, defaults file, or downloaded script is required. Pandoc 3.x generates PPTX; PDF also needs a PDF engine and Beamer, documented below. Install Inter, Fraunces 72pt, and JetBrains Mono desktop fonts first. Individual TTFs/licenses: https://brand.teamwright.io/assets.html. Google Fonts web CSS does not install fonts for PowerPoint or the PDF engine. ## Write a clear story Teamwright is an AI workforce platform where people, AI agents, and connected tools work together to turn requests into usable results. Introduce Teamwright before TWR. State product facts plainly; invent no integrations, customer evidence, outcomes, or universal approval requirements. Label illustrative examples. Give every slide one point, a sentence-case title, and concise support. Put detail in speaker notes. The 16:9 reference uses Spruce #1F5B4D covers, Paper #F5F0E6 content backgrounds, Fraunces titles, and Inter body at least 20pt. Shorten or split content before shrinking it. No automatic Confidential label. ```markdown --- title: Work, well made. subtitle: People, agents, and connected tools. author: Teamwright --- # A shared thread of work ## Keep the decision visible - Show what is proposed. - Identify the target and consequence. - Keep sources within reach. ::: notes Explain a verified product example here. ::: ## Different contributions, shared context :::::: columns ::: column ### People - Context - Judgment ::: ::: column ### Agents - Execution - Inspectable outputs ::: :::::: ``` With `--slide-level=2`, `#` creates section slides and `##` content slides. Title metadata creates the cover; columns, paragraphs, tables, and captioned images determine Pandoc's layout selection. Arbitrary written layout names are not universal selectors. Use source-relative images, readable diagrams, and sparse tables. ## Generate PPTX Run from the folder containing `deck.md`. Download only the reference, or reuse a local copy: ```sh curl --fail --location --output teamwright-reference.pptx \ https://brand.teamwright.io/downloads/templates/presentations/reference.pptx pandoc "deck.md" --from=markdown --standalone --slide-level=2 \ --reference-doc="teamwright-reference.pptx" --resource-path=. \ --output="deck.pptx" ``` Replace input/output names and resource directories; quote paths with spaces. Customize the reference through Slide Master while preserving Pandoc's expected layout names and placeholders. ## Generate PDF slides directly from Markdown Install XeLaTeX and Beamer through MiKTeX (Windows), MacTeX (macOS), or TeX Live (Linux). Minimal installations may need additional LaTeX packages. Debian/Ubuntu packages: `texlive-xetex`, `texlive-latex-extra`, `texlive-pictures`, and `texlive-fonts-recommended`. Check `pandoc --version` and `xelatex --version`. ```sh pandoc "deck.md" --standalone -t beamer --slide-level=2 \ --pdf-engine=xelatex -V aspectratio=169 -V fontsize=20pt \ -V geometry:paperwidth=10in -V geometry:paperheight=5.625in \ -V mainfont="Inter" -V sansfont="Inter" -V monofont="JetBrains Mono" \ --resource-path=. -o "deck.pdf" ``` Beamer creates PDF slides on a 10 × 5.625-inch canvas (16:9), with a 20pt base font. Keep the explicit canvas size so columns and tables have room at this font size. PDF uses Beamer's layout rather than the PowerPoint reference. Its cover, colors, spacing, and notes behavior can differ. A matching PDF design needs a separate Beamer template. Inspect the PDF independently and split dense content before shrinking it. Do not claim the default PDF reproduces the full PowerPoint design. No LibreOffice, Python, Node.js, or helper script is needed. Local rendering tools and desktop fonts are prerequisites. If missing, deliver Markdown and explain what is needed. ## Inspect and deliver Inspect every rendered slide for clipping, wrapping, typography, contrast, table/image readability, and footer placement. Check speaker notes remain in PPTX. Use explicit labels rather than color alone. Deliver Markdown and requested editable/PDF outputs; disclose unavailable PowerPoint checks. PDF and PowerPoint use separate layouts and must be inspected independently. Use `teamwright-brand` for broader brand decisions if available.
